Hi, I am Elaine.
Life for me didn’t work out the way I had planned. I always wanted to be a mother. Babysitting, teaching kids in Sunday School and engaging kids into activity wherever I went, I thought were all good ways to prepare for the wonderful joys of motherhood. My husband, Dennis and I heard from the doctor quickly, telling us that we could not bear children. Because of my infertility, God opened a wonderful door to adopt 2 children and through foster care to nurture 32 others.
Throughout my whole life I carried a sincere burden for hurting individuals. I was desperate for God’s intervention and to see a change in these lives. My heart’s desire was to reach out and touch people with needs and to make it my goal to search for and to pray for answers. I prayed earnestly and cried to God for guidance. He said to me, “Elaine, you have to change.”
As I changed, many of my prayers were answered for God’s honor and glory. He used our home as a garden for sowing and reaping. My husband and I had to trust God and believe that He was actively working beyond our vision to put the pieces together for these children and others we minister to.
My passions in life are for prayer, missions, teaching and parenting. I always seek the Lord for His answers. I trust you will join me as I shares stories and testimonies of real experiences, the challenges of being a foster and adoptive parent, the joys of mission work and how prayer and the Word changed my life.
As a young child, I gave my life to Christ and immediately desired to serve Him in every way possible. My life goal was to become a missionary wherever the Lord called. I love using my gift of teaching to inspire people to pray, share their faith, become strong disciples and grow spiritually.
