Joel’s mom died when he was five from a drug overdose. He was adopted when he was seven. He hated himself and despised his life. He told everyone that he would die before he was 20. God reversed that evil thought and changed his life. There were dark times for him but through prayer and standing on God’s promises, the victory was won.
God gave me the privilege of parenting. I was to stand in the gap for Joel, for his healing, discipline, life changes and new behavior. My job was to read and study the Bible, to listen to God’s guidance and instruction, to believe His word and to obey whatever He told me to do. [Read more…]
